Configurable Screen (APP)

A B 10 years ago updated by Pål Andreassen (CTO) 10 years ago 1
Given the cheap price of some tablets, it would be useful to have an APP that can be configured as a main console monitor for Home Automation, with an interface that has big buttons. I would put such a tablet on the wall, powered all the time, and monitor & control my whole home automation system from there.

Device Icons

A B 10 years ago 0
I have many devices, and they're all displayed with a light bulb icon in Telldus Live or here on Tellmon. It is kinda hard to go through all of them, reading which is what. Same goes on any mobile app... I HATE IT! I wish I could replace that light bulb with an explicit ICON, which is gray if the state is off and green if the state is on. A defined preset of icons would be nice (such: light bulb, tv, radio, computer, stereo, NAS, receiver, heating, lamp, door, window, freezer, vent, AC... YouNameIt). Of course, the best would be to upload my own custom icons...

Wireless Energy meter: Is high count values handled correct?

Niclas Forslund 10 years ago updated by Pål Andreassen (CTO) 10 years ago 2
Hi Pål!

I just realized that I might have forgot to give you one piece of information regarding the counter value.

The data-field that I use in the fineoffset protocol to carry the amount of detected blinks have 12 bits. The msb is used on the receiving side to indicate if the temperature is positive or negative. Since I use all bits for only positive numbers, this will give a fault if the blink count is more than 2047 i.e. 204.7C

This is however very easy to fix.
if ( temp < 0.1 ) { temp = 204.7 - (temp); }

The reason for the (temp<0.1)-test is that if the counter counts 2048 pulses this will show up on the receiving side as -0.0C. The test (temp<0) is thus not correct. It is perfectly safe to use this test since the Energy meter will never send 0.0C.

As you have pointed out previously min, max and avg only make sense for temp and humidity sensors. To some extent also wind speed. But for wind direction, rain rate, the two electricity meters they does not make sense. So I removed them temporarily today while adding support for the new wireless pulse counter electricity meter.

They will return shortly once I find a better way to decide what is shown and for what kind of sensor.

Label in graph

Per Söderman 10 years ago updated by Pål Andreassen (CTO) 10 years ago 4
Is it possible to move labels out of graph area as they hide the graph data at least when I use my iphone?

The next release will have a modified sensor page with the legend moved to the statistics table below the graph like this:
