I really don't get it

I no longer understand how this energy monitor works. I select a period but nothing shows up in numbers to indicate the recorded consumption. I start to think this energy monitor is simply useless.Image 15

What kind of sensor have you set it to? You can set sensor type under Settings / Sensor. 
Also what have you entered as "Watt hours per blink"?

it's the old type of sensor, probably Type 1, at least this is how is set for now. 1 Watt hour per blink (1000 pulses means 1 KW on my meter).
